KokuaOS — Cookie Policy

How KokuaOS uses cookies and similar technologies on its public websites, and how to manage your preferences.
Capitalized terms have the meanings in the KokuaOS Definitions Schedule (kokuaos.com/legal/definitions).
1. What this covers
This Cookie Policy describes the cookies and similar technologies KokuaOS uses on its public marketing websites. It supplements Section 6 of the Privacy Policy (kokuaos.com/legal/privacy), which governs cookies and online tracking generally; where the two differ, the Privacy Policy controls.
2. Categories we use
Strictly necessary. Required for core site functionality, security, and session handling. These cannot be disabled and are not subject to consent.
Optional analytics. Used, only with your consent, to understand site usage and improve our websites. Our sites load no optional analytics cookies until you accept them through the cookie banner.
We do not currently use advertising or cross-site marketing cookies on our public websites.
3. What we actually store
This is the complete list of what our public marketing website places on your device. You can verify it yourself: open your browser's developer tools, look under Application → Storage, and compare.

Optional analytics load only after you accept. Until then the _ga cookies above are never set, and analytics is additionally disabled entirely on any deployment with no analytics identifier configured. The consent record itself is strictly necessary and cannot be declined, because remembering that you said "no" is the only way to stop asking.
The consent record is kept in local storage rather than in a cookie deliberately: local storage is not transmitted with every request, so a preference that is only ever read by your own browser never travels across the network at all.
If we add analytics, session replay, a chat widget, an embedded video, or any other third-party technology, this table is updated before that ships.
4. Managing your preferences
You can accept or decline optional cookies from the banner shown on your first visit, and change your choice at any time using Cookie Settings in the site footer. You can also control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect site functionality. We honor recognized browser opt-out preference signals, including Global Privacy Control (GPC), as described in the Privacy Policy.

KokuaOS may update this Cookie Policy from time to time; the date above reflects the most recent revision.
