Pricing

Priced by the work it does.

A subscription for the platform, plus AI Units metered by what your AI Employee actually does — never by the minute.

Quotes are prepared per deployment

What you pay depends on the plan you need, how many AI Employees you run, and the work they do. We are in a pre-launch period and would rather give you a number we can stand behind than publish one that moves before you can act on it.

A short conversation gets you a real quote — and a look at the product handling calls like yours.

How usage is measured

One unit for everything an AI Employee does.

Answering a call draws on several services at once — the line itself, the speech, the reasoning, and whatever the AI Employee then goes and does in your systems. KokuaOS resolves all of it into a single unit, so consumption is one number you can reason about rather than four you have to reconcile.

Voice & telephony

Carrier minutes, call media, and the line that carries the conversation.

Reasoning

The thinking behind each turn — understanding the caller, deciding, composing a reply.

Speech

Turning speech into text, and text back into a natural voice.

Messages & actions

Texts, emails, and the work your AI Employee does in your systems.

Testing draws on the same meter as production, so what you see while getting ready is what you will see once it is live — no separate sandbox billing to reconcile, and no surprise in the first month.

The model

Why it is billed this way

Four choices that shape what you actually pay.

You pay for work, not for time

A per-minute service charges the same whether a call booked a job or reached voicemail. AI Units measure the work performed, so a short call that completes a booking and a long one that goes nowhere cost what they actually cost.

One unit across every channel

Voice, text, chat and email all resolve to the same unit. You are not reconciling four meters in three invoices to answer one question about last month.

Visible before it is billed

Consumption breaks down as it accrues — by AI Employee, by channel, by the work done — with month-end projections and budget alerts. The invoice confirms what you already knew rather than introducing it.

Priced from what it costs

Rates follow the real cost of the services underneath at a set margin, rather than a number picked once and defended forever. Quiet months cost less, and nothing is rounded up to a minute.

Reselling, or bringing your own stack?

Service providers, MSPs and resellers run KokuaOS under their own brand, set their own retail pricing, and can bring their own AI, telephony and messaging providers. Program terms and economics are discussed directly.

Pricing questions

Why is there no price list?

Because a number we have not finalised is worse than no number. KokuaOS is in a pre-launch period: the platform is being readied and the usage rate is being calibrated against real provider costs. We would rather quote something we can stand behind than publish a figure that moves before you can act on it. A short conversation gets you a real number.

What is an AI Unit?

A single measure of work performed, normalized across everything an AI Employee does — speaking, listening, thinking, messaging, and acting in your systems. It exists so one number answers 'what did this cost', instead of four meters in different units that have to be added up by hand.

How is that different from per-minute billing?

Per-minute pricing charges for elapsed time, and elapsed time is not value — the longest calls are often the least productive. AI Units track the work itself, so cost follows outcome more closely than duration does.

What does the subscription cover?

The platform, the features of your plan, and your AI Employee licences — the things that cost the same whether you had a busy month or a quiet one. Usage is metered separately so the two are never confused.

Can I control what it spends?

Yes. Consumption is visible per AI Employee as it accrues, with month-end projections, and budgets with alerts, so nothing arrives as a surprise at the end of a month.

I want to resell KokuaOS, or bring my own stack.

Service providers and resellers run KokuaOS under their own brand, set their own retail pricing, and can bring their own AI, telephony and messaging providers — in which case their cost basis is their own. Those terms are discussed directly; see the partner program.
